Meet the Trainers
Philippe Til

Philippe Til, head trainer and architect of the WBX Lean Body Transformation Program, is a multi-faceted fitness pioneer whose vast array of experiences across the globe have allowed him to create his own unique approach to personal training. Pooling the knowledge and experience of some of the world’s top training methods, Til developed the WBX program emphasizing injury-free, yet fun and effective workouts for any goal, any age, any body type.
Til is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified trainer, and a subject matter expert in establishing new standard in personal training, contributing the development of NASM national certification exams, as well as evaluating the knowledge, skills, and abilities of new personal trainers.
A trip to Africa exposed Til to the “hunter-gatherer” concept of fitness, based on the motions used by humanity before the un-ergonomic demands of modern society. He was invited to attend the first official Wildfitness Coach Certification in the United Kingdom. There, he learned the Pose Method of Running, an ergonomically redesigned approach to the basic concept of running. He later became a certified Kettlebell instructor, a discipline that essentially reverse engineers what the best athletes do naturally through the RKC (Russian Kettlebell Certification). He went on to teach workshops to branches of the military and law enforcement, some directly with the Kettlebell system founder, Pavel Tsatsouline.

Philippe’s motivation to re-pioneer the motion of fitness is a personal one. He suffered a debilitating spinal and thoracic injury in 2000. He elected to avoid surgery and instead went through physical rehab with traction, stretching, and studied often-overlooked training modalities to rebuild his body. He was up and running in months.
Philippe Til is the founder of Origin Motion Fitness in Southern California, and creator of the FAST regiment (Flexible, Agile, Strong, Toned), which makes subtle changes to the traditional staples such as planks, pushups, lunges and even cardio fitness. It has taken a lifetime of experience, training, and research for Til to develop FAST for Origin Motion Fitness which he adapted for Workout Buddy X.. In his spare time, Philippe is an active snowboarder, martial artist and surfer, as well as a dedicated father and husband. You can learn more about Philippe at Origin Motion Fitness.

Marlon John was born in the Caribbean on the Island of Dominica. His motivation of becoming a trainer is personal. Here is Marlon’s story : “Growing up in a poorer neighborhood, I knew that sports was my only way out of the hood. I worked hard and earned my scholarship but that was not beneficial to anyone around me, I felt empty. In the summer of 2000 my mother had a stroke and I was powerless; after seeing my mom so frail and unhappy that was the moment I realized that if I couldn’t influence others to eat healthy and exercise, my potential as a trainer would not be reached. I made a decision from that day to help as my people as I can get into fantastic shape because I see a little bit of my mother in everyone I help. My greatest strength and happiness is being able to motivate others to reach their fitness goals”. If you would like sign-up for Marlon’s class directly, please check out Body Sculpt 100.
Riyaana Hartley

From her first experience on the mat in 2000, Riyaana recognized the power of yoga as ‘Movement Medicine’. Her yoga practice began and evolved alongside her training as a breakdancer while at the University of Florida. Yoga complimented the physicality of her Bgirl (break girl) training, increased body movement awareness, empowered her breathing, mitigated injury and best of all mentally prepared her for challenges and opportunities.
In 2008 Riyaana moved to Los Angeles and began studying Prana Flow with Shiva Rea. This style of yoga resonated strongly with her natural tendency toward fluid power, primal movement, creative play and listening to our body and breath as the ultimate teacher. For her clients, Riyaana’s focus is to align mind, body and breath. This powerful union allows athletes to strengthen and heal their bodies while empowering their performance.
In addition to deepening her yoga practice, Riyaana also stays active with house dance, hoop dance, hiking, biking, skateboarding, snowboarding, acroyoga and saying yes to the many adventures on her path.
